As for the letter "H" of DNV GL DH32 ship plate, it is just a way of expression, without specific meaning. Some classification society products have the letter "H", while others do not. Now there are more with "H" than without "H". ship steel products of American, French, Chinese, Korean, Italian and British classification societies have "H", such as AB / AH32, BV DH36, CCS EH36, etc., while products of Norwegian, German and Japanese classification societies do not have "H", such as NVD36, GL-A32, KE36, etc.

For DNV GL DH32 ship plate, DNV GL indicates the DH32 ship plate needs to be certified by Norwegian classification society DNV and German classification society GL. The DNV GL are one now.
