Vietnam takes temporary anti dumping measures against Malaysian H-beam

The Department of Trade Relief of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued decision No. 1162 to take temporary anti-dumping measures against certain H-beam products of Malaysia, with the temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 10.2%.

In July 2020, representatives of local manufacturers in Vietnam filed a petition demanding the government to take anti-dumping measures against some Malaysian products. In August of the same year, the trade relief Department of the Ministry of industry and trade of Vietnam conducted a systematic market survey on the petition. The preliminary survey results of eight months show that the import quantity of H-beam from Vietnam to Malaysia has increased sharply, which has a huge negative impact on the local H-beam manufacturing industry of Vietnam.
