Reduce the production cost of P235GH steel plate

In order to further reduce the cost, simplify the production process, and shorten the delivery cycle, the P235GH steel plate was delivered in the rolled-normalized state instead of the normalized state after rolling. After normalizing rolling, the mechanical properties of the steel plate shall be inspected to meet the requirements of the technical agreement.

For this reason, the rolling process of the P235GH steel plate is determined as follows: the slab is fully and uniformly heated, and the slab is removed from the furnace until the iron oxide scale is removed by the dephosphorization machine. During the rolling process, phosphorus is fully removed with high-pressure water.

The structure and properties of the rolled-normalized P235GH steel plate are the same as those of the P235GH steel plate with supplementary normalizing treatment after rolling. It will have more advantages to directly reach the state of normalizing treatment in the rolling process. The rolling-normalizing process can save energy, reduce cost, shorten production cycle and improve environment, and it is beneficial for users to directly carry out deep processing of P235GH steel plate.
