JIS G 3131 is applicable to hot rolled steel plate and strip of commercial grade and stamping grade.

JIS G 3131 hot rolled low carbon steel thickness:
SPHC: thickness 1.2-14 mm, for general use;
SPHD: thickness 1.2-14 mm, for stamping;
SPHE: thickness 1.2-8 mm, for deep drawing;
SPHF: thickness 1.4-8 mm, for ultra deep drawing.
