GL grade A Marine steel plate is coated with oil

For some of the GL grade A Marine steel plate that have been very corroded, The pit has been deep inside the steel plate, even if the use of sand blasting treatment can not completely remove the rust, there are some parts can not be used sand blasting, the rust can not be completely removed, and sometimes can not implement the above special construction process, so must use special coating materials, in order to meet the requirements of corrosion prevention. It is suggested to adopt the specific construction process: GL grade A Marine steel plate surface impurity cleaning → surface simple oil removal treatment → rust removal → surface dust removal brush can be coated with oil.

In the above construction process, in addition to the oil tank, tank and other oil at the bottom of the mud to completely remove the oil, the large molecular weight of heavy oil to be more thoroughly removed (if necessary, need to use oil remover), and diesel and other small molecular weight oil, just simple removal (with a rag simple wipe can). Rust removal should be as thorough as possible, and sand blasting should be used as far as possible, so as to make the corrosion prevention effect of GL grade A Marine steel plate better.

In this construction process, the most important thing is to use the coating with oil coating. The specific requirements for the coating with oil are as follows:

(1) With oil capacity: the coating can displace the oil molecules from the surface of the steel, so that the coating can be firmly attached to the surface of GL grade A Marine steel plate. At the same time, the oil molecules become part of the coating and solidify in the coating film;

(2) Rust fixation: the coating should have A certain rust stability ability to stabilize the rust that can not be completely removed on GL grade A Marine steel plate, so that the oil molecules in the rust can not ooze out, so as to improve the adhesion of the coating film;

(3) Fast dryness: After the adoption of the above two measures, if there is still oil seepage, the use of A fast dryness of the paint, before the oil seepage can cure the film, the oil is enclosed in GL grade A Marine steel plate, thereby improving the adhesion of the film.

With this special coating, the surface treatment before painting can be simplified and removed directly on the surface with oil, thus achieving the better corrosion protection requirements of GL grade A Marine steel plate.
