SS500 steel plate is a kind of low alloy high strength structural steel with good comprehensive properties. SS500 is a German steel with chemical composition and mechanical properties. It is usually used in situations requiring high strength, good weldability and certain toughness. SS500 steel plate can be used in Bridges, automobiles, mechanical structures and other aspects. SS500 steel plate is low alloy high strength steel, has good comprehensive properties, can be cold working and weldability is good, can be treated according to the need, and can be selected for the stress state and strength.
The mechanical properties of SS500 steel plate are as follows:
Chemical composition: The main alloy elements in steel are C, Mn, P, etc. Due to the high carbon content in the steel, a certain amount of V, Nb, Ti and other elements must be added in order to prevent overheating cracks.
Heat treatment specification: Steel plate should be used after normalizing or quenching + tempering treatment, the tempering temperature is 100~150℃, and then aging treatment at room temperature. For important low alloy steel and high quality carbon structural steel, normalizing or tempering heat treatment can be performed to improve its properties.
In general, the heat treatment specification of hot-rolled SS500 steel plate is as follows:
a) The hot-rolled strip can be normalized or quenched + tempered under normalizing or quenched conditions;
b) Low temperature tempering can also be carried out on steel plates slowly cooled by salt bath;
c) Tempering treatment can be used for steel plates with higher hardenability and which need to be tempered at low temperature.
Surface condition: SS500 steel plate can be divided into hot rolled and cold rolled two kinds. Cold bending is carried out directly after hot rolling, and bending and cutting are carried out after cold rolling.
Yield strength: SS500 steel plate can be used to manufacture compression and tension components when the yield ratio is 0.70 or less. When the yield strength is less than 695 MPa, it can be used to manufacture parts.
