Analysis of AH36 ship plate tensile fracture layer

Posted:2022-12-27 16:11:07

The cooling rate of the upper and lower surface layers of the thick AH36 ship plate is fast, the composition segregation is not easy to occur, and the structure is uniform and finer than the core. Severe segregation phenomenon exists in the center of the fracture layered steel plate, which affects the tissue performance of the core and is also the reason for the formation of the banded structure.

Bainite or martensite structure in the center, sulfide inclusions and loose pores are the main reasons for the cracking and delamination of the tensile fracture of the AH36 ship plate. The following measures can be taken to prevent central segregation of continuous casting slabs.
① During smelting, vacuum treatment and ladle treatment are used to reduce the content of easily segregated elements such as P and S in AH36 ship plate.
② In order to inhibit the growth of columnar crystals, the pouring temperature should be controlled, and low temperature pouring should be adopted as much as possible.
③In order to increase the central equiaxed grain area, during the solidification process, electromagnetic stirring can be used to eliminate bridging; at the end of solidification, strong cooling technology is used to compact the core of the billet to prevent the shell from expanding.
④ In order to compensate for the shrinkage in the final solidification stage, light reduction technology may be used for AH36 ship plate.
