January-October this year, Latin America imported steel from China dropped 7%

According to the data released by the Latin American Association of Iron and Steel (ALACERO) on December 15, from January to October 2017, China exported 62.3 million tons of steel, down 31% from a year earlier. Among them, Latin America imported 5.8 million tons of steel from China, down 7%. From the import destination, Central America imported 1.2 million tons of steel from China, down 23%; Chile 1.1 million tons, up 9%; Peru 795,000 tons, down 1%.
