November 15, "2 +26" urban heating season has officially started production cuts, steel companies ushered in the first winter limited environmental protection.
First Financial News reporter learned from the China Steel Association, at present the national blast furnace operating rate of the steel industry has dropped significantly. Survey data show that last weekend the country's 100 small and medium-sized blast furnace operating rate of 73.4%, lower than the heating limit of 7.3% the previous week.
Iron and steel researcher told CBN reporter that at present, key environmental protection supervision areas such as Tangshan, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Handan and Anyang in Henan Province are under enforcement. Most steel mills cut their output by about 50% according to the policy requirements. However, some steel enterprises in some areas are still waiting to see, limited to about 10-20%.
For this situation, CBN reporter learned from the environmental protection department that this is related to the different rigidities of the limited production in the region. The four cities of Tangshan, Handan, Shijiazhuang and Anyang are the limited production areas under the supervision of the inspection center, and they have definitely required a limit of 50% of production. As for the rest of the world, it will decide on its own limit on the basis of emission and air quality conditions.
